Compute IT - ADSL SUPER-FAST INTERNET ACCESS
WHAT IS ADSL?
ADSL (Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line) is a super-fast technology that turns an ordinary telephone line into
a multitasking access tool. ADSL provides data transmission at significantly higher speeds than an ordinary dial-up or ISDN
service, while maintaining the existing telephone service.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS
OF ADSL?
· Increased
usage of your existing telephone line, with a super-fast, dedicated link from your home or office to the Internet. This means
you can browse on the Internet and talk on the phone or send a fax simultaneously.
· No dial-up
is necessary as you are permanently connected – no busy signals and no dropped calls and no more time-wasted.
· Shoppe ADSL
access service costs a flat monthly fee – no high, unpredictable call costs.
WHAT ARE THE LIMITATIONS
OF ADSL?
· ADSL users
cannot be more than 3 - 5km from the exchange they are connecting to.
· Connection
speed is not guaranteed. The standard ADSL connection is limited to 3GB of traffic, however, please see our top up packages
and our uncapped options.
· As ADSL
is limited to traditional copper telephone lines, quality of the copper connection may influence the quality of the connection.
· Our standard
ADSL connection has no Static IP Address. This means that you can't host your own website or mail server, however our new
uncapped Business ADSL connection includes 4 useable static IP’s.
Compute IT ADSL
Using Shoppe’s ADSL Speed access you can connect to the Internet at super-fast speeds. All you need is
